I'm a little upset they didn't stick to the original vehicles. The part that upsets me the most is that Optimus Prime isn't a cab-over truck. They could have made Bumblebee a Chevette, still would have been a GM advertisement AND a small car
. At least it's being made into a movie, and I can't wait to see it.

Big movies still pack in the crowds here. I feel theres been a resurgance of the cineplex over the last few years. Over here, the new complexes have finally balanced out the size of the theatres to be at least medium sized. In the 90s with the cineplex boom, mini thearters the size of living rooms were all over the place. I think that killed the market for a while.
I'm heading to the Cathay Cineplex in Mutiara Damansara. Its a big standalone building similar to cinema complexes in Australia. Its good because you only need to compete for parking with movie goers and not against shoppers. I paid RM11 (USD3.20) per ticket. I hear that Bangkok cinemas are bigger, fancier, and a lot cheaper... |

Yeah the cineplex in the new Paragon shopping center is just insane, something like 20 screens, and apparently some super VIP rooms where they give you a bed to lie on while watching the movie, but it's like 3000 Baht (US100)
Normal cinemas are 100 baht, though I think there are often special promotions down to 80 baht... I don't go to the cinema so often so I usually go for the more comfortable VIP seats, they're usually 300 Baht, but they are like La-Z-Boy chairs, they recline, you get a leg rest, and no annoying people kicking your back...

Passin' The Gas...Station
|
Probably won't go see it but I was just cruising by this forum. It's funny how the theaters are different all over the world. I was stationed in Holland/Amsterdam in the late 80's and I saw TopGun at a big theatre. They stop halfway through the movie for intermission so you can get your refreshments. The usuals, candy, popcorn, soda....beer! Then they would start the movie when everyone was back to their seats. And these were some great chairs, recliner like. Footpads and trays. Every row was stepped up higher than the one in front of you so there was noooooooooo way you'd have a blocked view. Made it all that much more fun to "roll" the empty beer bottle down the aisle ramp. We'd have contests to see how far "your" bottle would go. "tink tink tink"...No wonder Americans are frowned on...Hope I didn't ruin your movie back then.

Good movie. Won't tax your brain power though. Better than Spiderman 3 in my opinion.
I won't say anything else till more people have watched it! |

I had to take a leak but could not get up due to non stop action. Very good movie. Yes the cars were not the same and all that but this is Hollywood they never keep anything the same. And every movie needs a advertising plot so they can sell it to the higest bidder this time it was GM.

Awesome movie. Some things sucked though:
• VB Bug => Camaro (surprisingly looked good though, seeing as GM is almost pure crap). I loved the "BEE-OTCH" sticker though. ![]() • Jaz was a Porsche, now a pontiac. C'mon. • I don't think Megatron entered his vehicle form. |

Megatron transformed into a fighter jet every once-in-a-while, but wasn't he also a large cannon? it's been so long since i watched the original series.
