Interior - from Silver to Black
Well I am piece by piece trying to get rid of the chrome and silver pieces. So far the front badge is black, the rear was debadged and left with the toyota symbol which i made black along with the lower chrome trim.
For the interior i did the door handles, shifter trim, and the radio/air controls... here are some pictures...

Looks nice. I like that look compared to them being chrome/ silver.

I like the front badge. White badge would be pretty cool whited out but black is cool too. How well will the interior hold up with the spray? It looks good.

lol im gonna find out...it seems if i give it ample time to dry that it will hold up. I got impatient on a couple pieces that I have to go over again, but I think it will hold up...

I think it should be ok and you can always touch up. I have just had some real diasters with spray paint that makes me scared to tackle such a project. I like what that canadian guy had going with the leather covering also.

just some interior/exterior paint from home depot, water proof, and very durable....i used a 2 layer prime coat first, then 2 or 3 layers of the black....
The center console portion looks so much better in person, the silver was just a sore in my eye whenever I looked at it...

Looks nice! Good job on the painting, smooth and even.
I would kind of like to do this too, but for me its not the silver that bugs me, it's all those different greys! |

Yea I just wasn't digging the silver, I really want to do the knobs as well, but I dont know how easy that would be....I may leave the chromed door handles on the inside, but id really like to go black with them as well....
im open to any ideas...
