Engine torque damper, anybody have one? - Page 2 - Toyota Yaris Forums

I been eyeing one of these for awile after i put on my nst pulley. Car jerks a bit from takeoff now since the crank pulley has been lightend. Hopeing that this will help dampen things a bit. Otherwise i probally got a broken motormount already.

That would defeat the purpose of the torque damper. If you reduce vibration
you also are allowing the engine to rock. So why even install one?

There is an adjustment point where vibrations are low but the damper does its job. I like it a little tighter than that, it's more important to me that the engine doesn't move at all.

Any recomendations for a good / affordable engine damper?? Just the damper I mean. I guess it would have to be a Universal one.

The engine mounts on the 1.8L Yaris don't line up with the 1.5L mounts so I would have to custom fab the brackets...

Ingalls sells their "Stiffy" damper as a separate part. It's really nice, I have one on my tC.
