I figure I have about a 10 day wait for the parts I need. I hope I still beat the Canadians.

Based upon this, I don't really see how the wiring harness will be seperate from the bulb holders. You guys might be wise to hold off on ordering anything else, especially looking at the photos of RoninMax's lights.

I'll probably wind up with spare parts but that sure beats too few.

Trace at www.canadapost.ca guys.
It will give you results. Purolator may or may not be the carrier delivering this to you. Chances are you will get it delivered by Canada Post because there will be at least taxes (GST) payable on the lights.

Mine are already in Vancouver as of Sept 30 - just waiting for customs to clear it and I think I should have them by Wed Oct 3.

ok, my shipment is "International shipment has left the origin country and is en route to Canada".

However, I got two tracking number? Are they shipping the two (LH and RH) lights seperately?

At the bare minimum, I think you will have to pay GST based on the declared value of the lights.

If Canada Customs determines that taxes are owing, then you will also have to pay a $8.00 handling fee to Canada Customs. This is sort of like the brokerage charge that FedEx and UPS charges when they clear a shipment on your behalf.

I'm not sure if Canada Post mail carriers carry cash/coins with them, so you may not be able to pay them up front when they try to deliver to you at your door (unless you have EXACT change).

So what will most likely happen is this:

- Canada Customs will assess the lights, and determine that taxes are owing
- Shipment is released from customs, and Canada Post delivers as usual
- If you are at home when the mail carrier tries to deliver it, he/she will ask for money based on what Canada Customs assessed
- If you are not home, they will leave you a delivery notification card
- If the package can't be delivered to you in person at your address, you will have to pick it up from the closest authorised Canada Post retailer in your neighbourhood. Of course you will have to pay your taxes (and duties if applicable) before they release the package to you.

I can't believe you guys get taxed on this.

You should really just give up on this whole pipe dream of maintaining a separate country and join us.

You guys are too easy.

Besides, if we absorbed you, we wouldn't be able to say we were Canadian when we travel overseas.
