local dealership got ONE sedan yesterday. looks pretty good in person but I wanna see the liftback!!! salesman told me to call in a week. (got plenty of camry's... they're built just up the road)

My dealership says theres only like 8 liftbacks availble right now in all of the northwest. And they're all not what I want. So I have to wait for the next shipment which should be coming at the end of this week. At least they're arriving now.

I've noticed they are getting a bunch without the power package, but with the side airbags. In my mind they are optioning-up the wrong stuff.

Man i can't wait to get mine, just saving for the down payment now. Hopefully the Toyota dealer here gets one that i want in about a month or so. Blue Manual shift fully loaded Yaris Liftback, of course im probably get way ahead of my self here. I will be going there sunday to just look at it in person, they have a black yaris liftback automatic, which sucks so i probably wont test drive.

^^^ they have that blue one around here in the bay area.

actually there's been alot of liftbacks in the bay. none that's a manual black and white with power tho. there's ones with convience packages but i really want that power :P

same here, i want Manual with power, and everything. Getting my hope's a little high though, i'm sure i'll be settling for whatever manual tranny they get no matter what package's it comes with and what color it is.

I'm with you. I told my salesperson exactly what I want, and I told him to call me when they get it.

I also told them what I didn't want so they wouldn't bug me every week.

I'll wait as long as I have to, I have a great car already.

i just put down my deposit for a black hb with convience packcage. it's gonna be at invoice 12k something. not bad.

if all goes well i should have it within a week.

the first us owner on this board? haha

The sedan? I have no idea, my guess would be by the end of April sometime.

Does anyone know how much the minimum down payment is in the US for the Yaris HB?

well i went to look at the black yaris hb at my local toyota dealer for the first time today. I must say i love this car even more now that i actually saw it up close and sit in it. It is an auto, so i wasn't interested in getting it, i told the sales guy that i wanted a 5 speed, and he told me that they probly wont have any in for a little while, probly like 2 weeks to a month. He told me that the 5 speeds are really scarce right now, but he also said that everyones been asking for the 5 speed, thats why they cant sell the damn auto's. They really need to make an equal amount of both types of cars and not 90% auto and 10% 5 speed. So anyway, i gave him my number and he will let me know when they get one in or if they find one at another dealer to try to get that one. I told him i was really serious about buying it and if they get one its mine.
