One of my bulbs is out on my Yaris.

I just bought some Osram Silverstars from www.PowerBulbs.com to replace them. I used coupon code ZXRCX111 and it took 10% off with free shipping. They even threw in some Philips Blue Vision W5W bulbs for free.

Kick ASS!

2 pack of Osram SilverStars H4 = 20.00USD (13.46GBP)
2 pack of Philips Blue Vision W5W = FREE
Shipping = FREE
10% off the price of the bulbs

What a deal for $20.00! http://www.powerbulbs.com/product_detail.asp?prod=91

SCHWEET!

I recently purchased from Powerbulbs too. I took on their 20% off Osram NightBreaker offer and used the 10% off check out coupon code. Came to a total of 35AUD shipped with free Blue Vision W5W as well.. who could resist such a bargain.

Hi Spookz. What made you decide on the Osram NightBreaker instead of the Silverstars H4? How are they performing on your car? Any significant difference versus OEM bulbs? TIA.

I use Philips X-Treme Power H4 bulbs. These have won several automotive awards.

I have tried 2 pairs of the Osram NightBreaker ones before that, and you'll be lucky to get 3 months use out of them.

Running the Philips for over 6 months now and no issues. Brighter, whiter light and longer beam.

Hmm.. 3 months really? I'll have to wait and see what happens. So far they're doing great. They're definitely brighter and whiter then OEM. I currently have the X-treme Power bulbs in our Camry and they're great too. But for $35AUD (more than half the price of a pair of X-treme Power here), I can't complain. =)

The Osram Siverstars are supposed to be better bulbs. More Halogen or something. The british Osram ones are supposed to be a little better than the domestic ones. It's in a thread around here somewhere.

Just letting people know
that even the local silverstars are vastly superior to the stock.
white > yellow

You got that right. Over a year ago I replace my stock ones with regular SilverStars. One burned out. I ordered Osrams. I stuck my old stock one back in there until I get the new ones and it's a HUGE difference between the stock and regular SilverStars. The regular ones are so much brighter. I can't beleive they actually install the crappy stock ones. I'm going to put one new Osram next to a regular Sylvania and check out the difference when they arrive.

Everyone should do this inexpensive upgrade. WOW! What a difference!
