I just got some TRD hard rubber rollstoppers in from Japan. don't have pricing yet, but this will pretty much eliminate engine movement.

First time to the track I missed second 4 times out of 12 or so runs. My theory is that the engine was bucking around too much and throwing the linkage out of alignment. After installing the damper I got from Garm I only missed second once in 12 runs. Not bad on a stock clutch.

So yeah, the torque damper does help, both with getting power to the ground and keeping your cables where they ought to be.

that's a gorgeous part Garm. i find it sad that "TRD" went to all the effort but didn't do urethane inserts though :(

it's the dogbone mount that's the problem. an "engine dampener" is a band-aid IMO

yeah but a quick and easy bandaid that looks cool under the hood. Priced about the same as replacing the dogbone mount.

I would consider changing the dogbone but one that is not too sollid. Kinda a middle ground.

I'm putting one in my car too. More ordered and on the way -- I intend to stock a bunch of TRD mounts and bushings.

I knew that I was going to be bashed :( But this seems to happen when to people when any comments are made towards performance mods.

Can I just say this then? Why gain .3 seconds on a car thats 100hp? Its an economical car, not a drag strip car lol.

Only thing after that is added vibration.

I'd be curious to see what kinda improments the mounts and the shifter improvments would do on your car.

Wow no one is actually putting down some numbers........ My Echo (sorry not a yaris) ran a 15.23 at Mission Racways the other weekend. Rolling on street tires still :)

Anyone else put down some numbers at the track?

14.9x was my car's best time, but I didn't make the run. Driver mod is sometimes the best mod.

Garm should be running -4's in a couple weeks.

Stiffer dog bone mounts will make shifting under hard acceleration smoother andwill limit engine movement, they may prevent wheel hop too. For people who cant afford the TRD ones a cheap "Hot Rod" trick is to buy windshield urathane and fill the stock mounts cavities with it. Any of these mods will transfer a lot more vibration into the cab of the car.
Cheers.

That is one issue that I am having with my car at the trck is Wheel Hop Even with 215/50/15's with a sticky tread I still hope away and that's with full suspension.

Im thinking that might be my next mod on my car.

What setup you running to get this time?
