Odometer calibration
Hey guys.
Im new to the forum. I own a 2006 Yaris. My car was imported into the UK, the speedo and ODO was in KM per Hour. So to get it registered i needed it in Mph, so i Managed to get a whole new speedometer console in Mph. so i took out the old one and fitted the new one. It was quite simple just two plugs in the back that i had to clip in. The speed seems to be reading correctly, but my millage is so out. its showing 3750 miles. The car is 3yrs old with about 30000km on the old clock. And its not measuring the trips correctly. Can anyone advise me on how to fix this or will a dealer have to do this. Thanks very much Last edited by Tfade25; 07-23-2009 at 01:30 PM. |

Try disconnecting the battery for a little while and then reconnecting it. Two people have done cluster swaps and one had the mileage pick up correctly and the other did not. The difference was that the one who had the mileage pick up disconnected the battery while doing the swap, the other did it hot.
The main odometer, Trip A, and Trip B are all stored in memory in the ECM as well as in the cluster. |
