You would let him drive under the circumstances I mentioned?

If I had the same qualms you did about a buddy driving I wouldn't hand over the keys. If he's a good friend he'll understand. Just pack a few 5-hour energy bottle and get a good nights rest before and you'll be fine.

kaotic: might not be exactly the circumstances you mentioned above, but my friend is the kind of person who always drive fast. 80-100mph on long road trips. But as scared as he could be of cops and speeding tickets, he is the kind of guy who would slow down to speed limit at every coming overpass, where cops could be hiding, and speed up once confirmed there are no cops.
he is kind of a lousy driver, does not check his dead angles (always rely on those mirror add-on). He has yet not mastered driving manual, and will never as he hates driving manual. yet, i've let him drive my yaris.... |

Under those circumstances....NO!
Heck, the only time my wife drives my car is when I am incapable (really bad migraine) or I am working on her Isuzu.

From seeing how my friends drive.....I'd suck it up and do the drive myself. I dont care if i have to buy 3-4 Rockstar cans, slap myself if i start to feel sleepy, a good punch in the gut, etc......
My Corolla friend has got into an accident by himself as well as getting hit by another.... I......trust only myself... |
