I vote trying out prius pistons for a high compression N/A build running race gas.

The head work was done during the rebuild last year.

Off to the airport... Toyota asked me to accompany the twins (#20 and #98) to Mazda Raceway for the Western Automotive Journalists track event. I get to babysit the cars, and make sure the drivers are all secure before they head out on the track tomorrow.

The good part is there is time for the manufacturers to play at the end of the day. Got my helmet and GoPro ready.

I hope the poor little Yaris can climb that hill.

The WAJ event at Mazda Raceway was a blast. Both of the GT cars ran non-stop all day (with the exception of a tire change). Even with cars like the Mercedes SLS, Roush Mustang, Evo, STi and a pile of BMWs the Yaris's were the busiest cars out there.

Being the only "race cars" on hand made them very unique. Even the journalist that initially ignored them were next in line after they got passed by one - oh the power of a set of race tires and proper brake pads.

fwiw McKeever does not use the entire course for his school or events like this, you end up skipping the bowl.

Broke down the spare drive train for storage this weekend. Who needs a cherry picker when you have a ladder. The engine on its own is surprisingly light. A couple of blocks of wood made a nice engine stand.
