today was productive.......got that 0/1 ran from battery to fuse to interior of vehicle and to the amp......ground wire for amp in place....RCAs for sub and comps ran to amp from deck......and last but not least the amp is in the car and bolted to the rear seat frame....

I wil get pictures of it tomorrow.....it is literally 30" long and over a foot wide......took up the whole seat frame.

Still gotta run the relay wire from amp to the back of deck so it turns on when deck goes on......

Took speakers back out today, ran 12gauge wire to the speakers in the doors, ran them to the amp and fired it up......got a lot of tuning to do as the bass in the speakers is a bit too much.......

It all looks pretty bare and basic still......lots of coffee.

Finally got some time to install foglights......I got them a long time ago on ebay.....wishing I had known Garm had a kit back then......took 4 long hours in the rain....no garage....

Headlights off/foglights on

Headlights on/foglights on

The relay or my brain in the kit was faulty.....most likely my brain....so I got a new relay from Autozone and changed the switch to one I had laying around and it turned right on....

Called the sub place and my box is still a week out on getting built so maybe 2 weeks till the thing arrives on my door......I really wanna get some bass in my car.....

But the days best buy was.......DLS UP6 componants for $125......normally they cost a bit more....but I got kinda lucky

Can't wait to get them installed and tuned.

That's a mean looking hatchback --very intimidating stance.

What are the wheels spec?

42 days after ordering the sub box finally came......I will get it installed Sunday I hope...

At least for temporary...I gotta go buy supplies and start the interior build

I have to keep the rest of the weight I put in to the car at 114lbs or I go over the stock interior part weight I took out...I am pretty close now with harness bar....sub and box...amp...wires...deadening....

I am certainly gonna try to keep it under....no spare tire but I can get towing and can always call somebody to bring me one off their xB....

Oh no....interior will still probably be in pieces, but system will be in and working,it is as of yesturday....

I took it out yesturday and went for a cruise....and well with just a basic tune, xovers set to about 80hz on amp and deck.....sub at about 600w to break in......comps at 65w each......

Well lets just say it sounds beautiful, tones are crisp from the comps, and I meen so crisp that my buddy riding shotgun thought in one part of a song I was talking to him, turns out it was a part recorded in the track that he although listening to the song for years had never heard in the track.

Sub.......OMG......excursion is sick...it moves like a kangaroo on crack.....deep clean bass lows, sharp hits, the box is tuned to the sub so it has proper back spacing and airspace to allow full motor movement.

Sealed box and honestly I would be afraid to put it in a ported box......it would hurt bad,it does now in a sealed box.....

If you heard my tC....well this is louder.....stupid louder, the sub volume increases with every volume change.....it has a lot to get broke in but once it does it will be even louder....

As for rattles........once again I seem to have done a pretty good job...only one front to back we found was the rear plate frame.....body panels flex quite a bit.....pressure in car is not too over bearing, but it is there.....had AC on full blast and the sub was pusshing the air in the car back forward just as easily as the AC pushed it out the dash.

voltage,no issues even on the hits.....never went below 13.6v....on stock battery....hwo would of guessed....new battery is gonna be needed I am sure....

Sound out side of car.......almost none....just like tC....but sub does not like hatch open,it get moving too far out and I heard motor slap once or twice so shut hatch and it stopped,my guess is it need the pressure from bouncing off the hatch.....

Components.....they are keeping right up,who would of guessed...DLS is a very nice speaker....lol

All in all I think a years worth of research, some luck, and a lot of work I have a very nice basic system....still got a lot of tuning.....it is all built around driver and passenger positioning, windows up,hatch closed and earplugs in.....

also I should say.......all that is at 50% power,I am afraid to turn up to 75% to totally tune it in till it is broken in......lol....I took it up to 25 on the volume,75% for my deck is like 28 for a burp and it hurt my ears.....I doubt there is any need to go past 50% as the car is so small inside it would not be fun....well it would but you know.

Now to start the pods for the doors and Apillar tweets.....

Thanks Man........I am really happy I just picked up a set of Takata harness good till 2013 for $450 pick then up tomorrow,no mid pipe and header this month but Takata.....gotta do it......just gotta pick up the right eye bolts to mount to harnes bar and seat frame...think it is 7/16" threads, one set of 4 in 1" length and one set in 2" length for harness bar....lol....they are worth more than the seats and brackets....win win...

pictures up tomorrow night of them...4 point with latches on all 4 points hence the need for the eye bolts.....

23mm rear sway installed today and stoptech rotors and Hawk pads a few days back.

Drives like a whole differnat car now,way better feels stable at all times,no lean anymore, steering is crisp now....

I have to say it may be my favorite mods yet......also if you have like 8" wide rims like me you may have to pull one wheel off to get bar in place .....but total install of it took maybe 30 min.

Would of been quicker but my 14mm wrench broke while loosening the shock bolt, flew out and hit me in the face, gave me a minor black eye....

Camera broke or I would post up the last months work......next pictures will be on 8/14 at Toyota Fest.......trying to get car as close to back together as I can by then, will still be a work in progress, but I still and gonna bring what I built and hope it is enjoyed.....

So this month I installed the 23mm rear sway......wow.....car rides so much better, springs still suck,DF210s....too soft, but airbags will fix that thsi Winter....plus a set of Tokico's will help....

Then I got a set of the Depo JDM lights from Garm, fitment is actually as good as my stock lights were, one washer to shim the top bolt on drivers side and near perfect fitment.....the look is so much better though.....

Took some truck bed liner and used it on the pods and the sub box, give them a bit of durability as I stuff crap in the back all the time and the pods get kicked here and there, deadened the inner pods and made a tube to go from pod to inner door, sounds incredable.....

then I made pods in the A pillars......got them half way done, but the tweets went in finally and OMG....what a differance....also incredable....

Put some Polyfill in the sub box,but put too much and the hit got softer while the presence got more full....so took it all out but 2oz,which is still a lot and now it hits again and the presence is very full and crisp.....

Most the rear interior is back in the car,B pillars still need glassed and cut to fit harness bar....

Rear floor still not started but that will be a winter project I guess as the air ride stuff starts to come in....fit it as I go...hate being poor.....

Still got a CF shift bootie to install and vinyls for my sponser and for microimage on the rear side of seats along with the stereo vinyls for Pioneer and JL all in white and then that will be surronded by Gunshow guns from rogue status.....should come out nice.

Car is coming along....figure another year and it should be close to done....maybe 18 months of hard work...lol
