I ran 17's on 204\40\r17 and got some rubbing up front when turning the steering wheel completely. Maybe with spacers and lower tire?

Are you getting them in person? If so, throw them on and see. I don't see you having any problems other than a slight rubbing. Possibly loaded down you could run into some problems. This is just from taking a quick measuring though.

just get the TRD springs. or microimage's springs. it's not nearly as drastic a drop, and i'm sure you can find someone to do a swap so you dont have to pay again to remove and re-install springs.

I run 17x7 (offset is 35 , i think) with 205/40/17 on TRD's. I have never rubbed.

Man, I'd go for it. Let us know how it goes. I'm definitely interested, as I'm planning on running a similar set up.

You can also control rubbing by increasing negative camber front and rear. I run -3 front -2 rear and the car is just fine to drive like that on the street (although that is my racing set up at the moment).
