how does this compare to the 6LED HiLED ones? I saw a 18 LED one on ebay as well. I kind of think that 18 LEDs would be less harsh on the eyes since it wouldn't be an extremely bright focused light..

I bought some 194-wedge LEDs on eBay, and they're pure crap compared to the 194 I have from HiLEDs. The eBay ones provide barely any light output and one died within a week. Pure crap.

You replaced all your interior lights didn't you? What bulbs are needed to do this? I'm thinking it might be a nice little project to do pretty soon.

See my LED interior lighting upgrade using products from V-LEDS.COM You can see the pictures.
Excellent quality. Variety of sizes. Identical, bright, lighting accross all of their product to unify your look. No bulbs have burned out yet either. http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/sho...ighlight=vleds |

right now i have a 6-LED SMT LED 31mm festoon in there. I think its supposed to be like 2W or something. All that really matters is wattage. its too bad ebay sellers dont list the total wattage on there. I saw one that was 4W, that should be pretty bright. I wanted to test this one out: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=250371917586 - seeing as it can be used in 194/168 applications and 31mm festoon types. It has 24LEDs but i doubt they're high wattage. I highly doubt all 24LEDs combined are 4w. They're most likely 0.1w each. I figure it should be less harsh on the eyes though because the light isn't coming from a focused point. Too bad I got outbid on the auction and I'm just not willing to spend more than $7+S&H on it.

2 years later and my Hi-LEDs still work great.
Not cheap but then again.... not cheap. |

Map/reading lights, along with the rear trunk and rear license plate lights take 194 wedge bulbs. The dome light is either a 31mm or 32mm festoon. I can't remember.

^ i am running ebay 194's, but they're 1W with a heatsink on them. They're bright enough. Almost as bright as the stock map lights. I just bought a 24LED 31mm festoon. I'll take pictures of it installed. Hopefully its less harsh on the eyes since its 24 dimmer LEDs instead of 6 1W LEDs.
