That looks sweet, thebarber. I think that is just the right amount of drop I need - thanks!
Had some fun with Photoshop last night. This is what it should look dropped. |

I think your p'shop might be reflecting a bit lower than a prokit drop tho.

BTW, does anyone know of a good place to get the springs installed? What do you think Toyota service charges for spring swap? thank you.

thebarber, much appreciated. you've no idea how much sleep I lose every time I look out my driveway and stare at those fist-sized gaps between the wheel wells.

Ok gang.. so I grew a "pair" the last couple of weeks and have decided I will tackle the springs myself.
Thanks a lot to a couple of members who responded to my PM's questions about the springs and installations (GrimlockGT, thebarber, toad) and to those who shared their own experiences on this board I'll have the Eibach set this weekend and plan to install them on Sunday. I've gathered all the tools I'm going to need and hopefully did not miss anything else.. I'll try to report back by Monday (with pics) and hopefully things go well... .

You guys have got to be the friendliest and most helpful bunch of members I've ever come accross in any forums -- thank you all so much.
I did the Eibach prokit springs today and everything went exceptionally well. I just followed all the DIY instructions very carefully, made notes of all the tips you shared, and pretty much just took my time. I started around 9am and finshed it all by 2pm. It sure does pay to have the proper tools (the torque wrench was a saviour, some bolts just would not budge at all!). Once everything was wrapped up I took the car for a looooong test drive (). I thought the ride quality improved immensely and it was even better than I expected. It was a mild drop (1" all around) and the comfort level of the spring were smooth, very stable and at the same time also very tight when taking corners. Here are some pictures of what took place today on my driveway. Sorry about the pics quality they were taken with an iPhone. It was a fun, productive day and it felt so rewarding when everything was completed Before (note that nasty gap between the tire and wheel well): After a 1" mild drop: p.s. I hope to share better "AFTER" photos next time as soon as I get a chance to do a photoshoot. .

MAY wish to check the camber on those front wheels......or get an alignment after a week or two of driving....
