I haven't purchased yet, I want to see if I can get an extended warranty. The Toyota warranty is a joke. But the price I'm sitting on with the power package is 14,404 out the door (after all "hidden" fees).

This is for a 4 door sedan, manual.

You think I can talk him down more? Maybe have him toss in Bluetooth if I get the extended warranty... We'll see.

This has been a HUGE decision for me. It was between the Yaris and the Elantra... The Yaris won because of the color.

These small cars are getting harder to find cheap!!

Took me awhile to find my Black sand 10' 5sp at a dealer here in MN
There were lots of Base models with 5speed ,but not alot with PWR PKG
and I had to basically give them what they wanted for it!!
Upfront pricing. $13470.00 plus Tax title and all the other dealer fees
They even had $20 transport tax?? $75 doc fees??
adds up to about $250 in B.S. plus tax $14775.00 OTD
Sticker was $15228.00
This car is a a kick,5speed makes it fun to drive!
I guess this is the new way to buy cars, people like it??
Took delivery 11/1/10

$12171.00 cash price of vehicle

$ 149.00 documentation fee

$849.20 DMV fees

=

$13,169.20 total cash price

+

$630.00 GAP

=

$13799.20 total

2010 Toyota Yaris 3-door Liftback
Automatic
Convenience Package
All-Weather Guard Package
Floor Mats (tried to haggle with them because didn't want to pay $193.00 for them but they wouldn't budge)

Also 0% apr for 60 months. All in all I think it was a great deal.

Your buying experience

I'm currently shopping for one and I would like to hear what you guys and gals paid for yours.

The best quote I've got so far (in NJ, through email):

2010 Yaris 5 door HB Auto Black Sand Pearl
Power Package
All Weather Package

$14,000 including rebate.

The car is still due to arrive at the dealer next week.

I want to do the 0% financing though, and told this to the dealer, so then he says it's $14,750. He wouldn't give me an Out The Door price, but he listed the fees they charge: "Before you do the tax, $198.00 Vehicle Protection Program (window etch). Then 7% NJ sales tax. Motor Vehicle Tire Fee $1.50 per New Tire ($7.50). If you are financing $19.00 Credit Inquiry Fee. Registration/Title Fee (estimated) $299.00 for new plates and $99.00 for transfer. Documentary Fee $279.00. Online Registration Fee $7.70."

Adding all of that up comes out to:

$16,606.56 total

I told him I will not be needing the Vehicle Protection Program window etch, but he told me all these fees are mandatory and cannot be taken off (although from another dealer's quote this was listed as optional). Without it, it would come out to 16394.70 total.

What do you think about this?

Can't wait to hear your prices and experiences.
When i bought my yaris 2 years ago also in NJ coldwel plaza I think, it came out to 15.5k. the only option that i took was an automatic on a 2door yaris. i told them no, back and forth we negotiated he went back to speak to his boss got down to 14.5k, total payment went less then 15k The car came in with some optional things like armrest and rear bumper guard that i didn't pay for because it was pulled out of the stock. I came by next week to pick it up i think total i paid was around 15k. i think its still too much for the cheapest car on the road.
