Sedan speculation: 2012 liftback photoshopped into sedan
Obviously, this is unlikely what the sedan will look like especially considering the current 2nd gen sedan and liftback share very little in exterior design - in fact, not a single panel is shared. So unless Toyota is aiming to save a bunch of money by building the same car in two versions, these pics are just for fun. Anyway, let's hope the sedan finally gets revealed at the NY Auto Show coming up. And hopefully the new Camry as well! |

That actually doesn't look half-bad. Might be a good starting point for the new sedan design, seeing as how the sedan and LB absolutely have to look different from each other according to Toyota.

That's really very decent. Let's hope the new Belta looks half that good!
Right... the Vitz and Belta are entirely different cars, designed by separate design studios, one in Europe and the other in Japan. In fact in Japan they are even sold by different divisions of Toyota. At best, they are distant cousins with platform and drive train in common. Selling them both as the Yaris in export markets makes no sense to me. |

That's actually a rendering of the next Corolla (2013). Surely, it's going to change though. I keep searching for any hints of the new sedan and it seems like Toyota is hiding it within Fort Knox. Nobody outside of Toyota has seen it even though it will soon be on sale. |

Another car that may pop up in your quest to find the new sedan is the Toyota Sai Hybrid (JDM). Seems about the size of the Yaris and could certainly be the styling direction as well. Not too bad.
