Do you like the 2012 restyle?

I probably missed where this was discussed many times before, but do you guys actually like the new look?

I think it looks like the Echo and last year's Corolla had a baby. I loved the curvy, "cute" look the Yaris had, this seems like a step backwards in my opinion.

not the exterior. but i LOVE the interior. i just got my 11 and my original plan was to wait for the 12 but my old car broke down and i got a good deal. the exterior looks too much like the matrix IMO. and what i love about the yaris is the bubbly-ness of it anyway. the interior of the 12 looks much more luxurious than the 11 though.

As much as I really want to like it (HUGE Yaris fan)
I can't stand it!!
Interior looks cheap & cheesy to me, & I don't like the sharp edges (Body)

Heh, I love my 2007 yaris, but I would never say the interior was "high quality" hehe.

Hate it! If I were in the market for a small car again, I'd pass on the 2012 model.

If someone is trying to sell me the idea that the interior of my 07 has any quality... Well I have a tall building in paris that needs to be sold.

Having said that, I really don't like the new one. I like my center-mounted cluster.

That's what bums me out, I'd really like to be looking forward to getting a new Yaris in the future (does that make any sense)
Oh well, I really like my car.

I'm thinking I may get a 12, because of the college grad rebate and because my current car, the echo gets amazing gas millage and has been problem free. I also want a 3 door hatch. The fiat 500 is tempting but I'm not to high on vehicles built in Mexico, my last two Mexican cars where the focus zx3 and an escort, both had troubles. sonic is a possibility but costs more. Not sure on the yaris styling, need to see it in person.

It'd be a hard sell to go for a 2012 Yaris right now with its competition. The new Accent, Fiesta, and Sonic, plus the Fit all beat the new Yaris at this point IMO.

When I got my 2008 hatchback it was a no brainer, the subcompact market was awful. The Yaris was easily at the top and we already wanted a Toyota.

The competition? Accent: awful until the 2012 redesign. Aveo: awful enough that they replaced with with the Sonic. Fiesta: Wasn't around. Fit: Ugly little thing until the 2009 redesign, plus a premium price.
