5-year average: 32.16mpg
~50 days away from having had my 2007 liftback for 5 years, and I've kept track of all fuel purchases via spreadsheet. The lifetime average of the car has been 32.16!
Considering just fuel costs - Cost per mile: $0.09 Including all inspections, registrations, oil changes, service, and replaced parts*: Cost per mile: $0.12 Other factors - - Automatic transmission - I don't drive like a granny and I use the AC when I feel like it - ODO @ 46000m - >2/3 of the mileage is in-town commuting - Highest-mpg commute to work was 51.1mpg (according to ScanGauge II! Hooray for green lights and nobody around.) As far as one's First New Car experiences can go, I love this one. *1 battery, 1 tail light bulb, 4 tires. |

Getting 32 MPG in 2/3's city is pretty good. You're beating EPA estimates a bit (EPA 32 combined 50/50 city/highway). |
