Headlight misting (badly)

I have a problem with both headlights misting very badly on the new model Yaris, 1.33 litre TR model. Car is only three months old. Occurs when the headlights have been on for a time, then switched off. The warm air inside contracts and draws damp air into the light through a vent in the top corner of the lamp which then condenses on the upper and lower part of the lamp and appears white. It does not look very good takes about 24 hours to clear. I was wondering if anyone knows if there is there any difference in the lamp venting system for different countries? If anyone has any ideas how to cure or lessen this problem I would be extremely grateful to hear from them.

Or if you can't do that.. seal the headlight comepletely with silicone? Our NADM cars don't have vents as you describe them

Forgive my ignorance but what is an NADM car? Dealer has replaced the headlights, no better, I think it is a design fault but other people may have encountered something similar with another model and could perhaps suggest a solution.

NADM = North American Domestic Market

I don't know of any vents that you speak of in the headlights we have..

The North American lights do have vents. They are on the back and there's a white or gray cap covering them.

The caps on mine are black, not that the colour makes any difference, with a small foam disk inside. Any ideas anyone, please!

Update on this problem. Yesterday the dealer phoned me to say that he had two 'modified' headlights for my car. These have been fitted and he said there have now been other complaints about this problem, so we will see if there is any improvement. Evidently quite a few UK cars are affected, has anyone in the USA had this problem? If so I would appreciate their comments.

Update. It is now five weeks since the new headlights were fitted and no problems, no misting milky condensation nothing! When I asked what the problem was I was told it was 'an issue with the glue' Whatever that may mean. Something to watch out for though on the 'new yaris.

I think he meant the sealant they used. Sorry for my incorrect response form before, I stand corrected. Glad it worked out for you!
