listening?

the first song my yaris played when i bought her was "i want a car" by an israeli rock band called "mashina" (=car in russian language ).

usually my mp3 is giving my car a taste of almost everything:
trance
dance
israeli songs and bands
rock (the killers, poets of the fall, aerosmith, bon jovi)
modern music
exception:no classic music or jazz (except "take 5" of dave brubeck quartet).can't stand it.

I'm not much for listening to music when I drive, really. Some talk radio, some sports talk radio or a ball game. I might load up some science podcasts. Yes, I'm geeky. It keeps my whole brain occupied, both the part of my brain that thinks in words and the part that does the mechanical tasks of driving. YMMV, of course.

If I do listen to music it will be some old school stuff like Bachman Turner Overdrive, Foghat or CCR. Good music for cruising.

I listen to rock mostly, there's a station I get, rock937fm.com, that I usually have on and the music is pretty good. I also listen to CDs by Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Cold, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and others. Much of the newer stuff just doesn't do anything for me.

Lately, I've also been listening to Pimsleur Dutch, a set of CDs for learning the Dutch language in 30 minutes a day. I'm actually starting to understand it. I guess I can be geeky at times too.

You know how people blare hip hop music? I blare French music. There's nothing like watching a girl blaring accordions and bopping her head.

But I generally listen to:

Warpaint
Mogwai
Beirut
Ume
Dan Deacon
Yeasayer
Deerhunter
Atlas Sound

Right now I'm listening to "Bottleneck John's" new CD and loving it. I highly recommend it to anyone who lies acoustic bluesy stuff.

Great voice

I listen to eurobeat, nothing beats it in terms of JDM!! But alot of eurobeat sucks, only the Initial D collection and nonstop Super Eurobeat collections are good. Tho its interesting to see the evolution of eurboeat from disco like to where it is now.

No music here. Mine was Plain Jane, with no option packages. (i.e. no radio)
