I don't think Cometic has a yaris/1NZ gasket, but maybe. Toyota isn't listed on their site.
I use a stock gasket with no issues.

In fact a friend is having some issues. Most probably his head is warped, car is drinking coolant. So he will have to re-surface the head and go for thicker head gasket.
Thats why i am looking for thicker metal head gasket. I suppose we could use two stock metal head gasket,as it is aftermarket metal ones are multi-layered. Opinions? Thanks. |

I've never done this, but I know people successfully double up gaskets, especially metal ones like the OEM Toyota gasket. Pretty much any shop can make you one as well.

Thanks Jason and Garm, this is the exact information i was looking. I figured that finally we may have to use two stock head gaskets but i didnt know that i can deck the head and still use the stock head gasket.
We learn something new everyday! Many thanks! |

If his is to far gone I have a spare head, less than 1500 miles all stock and complete, (just wanted a spare when we were doing R&D with the early cams, but never used it).

Many thanks for the help, but i am mile and miles away from you.And shipping is a real killer.
As one problems dont come in ones, now i just discovered that we have the know issue of leaky head gasket with oil traces by the block/head and timing chain area. Also around the block/head area all around. But it doesnt change the oil level, but it needs to be looks at :( |

I have a former racing source that probably would design something. All depends on how busy he is with bigger stuff.
