I havent weighed the components...but yes a few pounds. The factory tubing is 18ga tubing & the muffler is very light. The savings are not alot...like say compared to a BMW factory exhaust

so now after a few weeks of driving with the side exit...ive noticed my mid range torque is much better...like all of a sudden the in the past week ive noticed the difference. I dont need to downshift to pass people as much anymore.

Okay guys...I'm taking the plunge for this. Hopefully it gives me a little more pep.

Good stuff Greg!
I took it in to the local exhaust shop. The first thing they said after installing the piece was that it fit perfectly. The owner of the shop gave props saying that most aftermarket pieces "look like they were laid out and produced by a blind person." He mentioned that whoever had done this piece did their homework and that the hanger was right on. The entire process took 20 minutes (two rounds of a game on my iPhone). I was so thrilled with the look of it when it was up on the rack that I didn't take pictures. The pictures that I did take don't show much because of the "S" model's side skirts. I have video capability, and pretty decent at that, but...for some reason the sound isn't good. I could barely get sound at a GWAR concert...so for video with no sound on an exhaust subject? That would be pretty worthless. So...My take on the sound is that it reminds me of my last car, an SRT-4 in that the sound is deeper (because of the resonator trimming off the top end sound). It is quite a bit "throatier". Now, to all who are reading this and thinking that it is just a deeper sound than stock, DON'T FOOL YOURSELF! This is louder. it's manageable for daily driving IMHO. Some may not like it, that is all personal taste. As for pep on the engine? I haven't had a chance to get on it. I usually don't anyway. But I did notice that there is an ease in the engine now. It is probably something to do with that restrictive muffler being taken off. Overall, I'm very happy with the product and the result. Good job to MBS!
