I ran into a couple small issues. My trans was getting real hot, and making it hard to shift. I also think the required GL5 grade gear oil for the LSD kind of hindered proper syncro engagement( GL5 is really meant for diffs only, and has no additive for syncros). I wasn't able to let my car cool down long because of the rain threat. Another thing, my 2step was originally wired to my clutch pedal switch, but I bypassed that and use a manual switch ( so I can start car without clutching in to save motor thrust bearing). This made it difficult to modulate the 2 step. I still managed a 11.95 @121mph on one pass however. I am officially in the 11s!.

^ One of the things that I need to do as well is still learn the perfect shift point. One of the suggestions that a lot of folks in the LSR crowd suggest is that even if you have a shift light your eyes tend to center on the tach many times and therefore placing a piece of tape on to provide the quick eye recognition will ensure that if you are happening to look that way instead of the shift light it will help.

The progressive shift light I sell solves the problem of using peripheral vision.

It was so empty that day because of rain, and it being labor day, I did run one mean looking foxbody on radials. I was told after I beat him that his buddy standing in the burnout area shook his head and said; "well that was embarrassing ''. Ill be attending Imports vs Domestics WCF again this year, Ill be sure to get footage.

Hey guys, just wanted to chime in with an update. Because I exceeded my turbo's rating, I ended up hurting a seal on the exhaust side of the turbo. This motor has been in my car for about 4 years now, and it has taken everything I've thrown at it. It has gotten to the point in my mind, that I almost expect something to give. So why not have some fun?
I installed a t3/4 50trim turbo, rated for about 100hp more than my previous one. I immediately put the car on the dyno for a tune, Things were looking good, as just on wastegate boost this turbo produced 30whp more compared to the previous t3 60trim on wastegate boost. A more laggy powerband, but to be expected. I got a bit greedy on pump gas....... went up to 34psi, detonated clyinder 4 to the point of sparkplug coming apart and dropping into the cylinder. I knew we were pushing our luck, and water methanol ends up not distributing evenly past 30psi in a stock intake manifold. Garms manifold with direct port water methanol injection would be a good idea. I did a quick leakdown test to assess the damage, 40 out of 90psi in clyinder 4. not good haha. I shoved a hose down the sparkplug tube into the combustion camber, attached other end to a vacuum. Got as much as the plug fragments as I could. Threw a new plug in, started the car........ heard peices floating in the cylinder stil haha! At this point, I was like ''ef it, do a pull'' right before we did a pull, the fragments must have passed through into the exhaust ( not before going through my brand new turbo ) . I turned the boost down a bit, did a pull, car made the same power!!!!!!! I just can't kill this motor. Another note, a stock head just drops power past 7000rpm. We raised rev limter to 7500rpm to give me more gear for autocross, but that's it. Another note, stock head bolts hold just fine! I had serious detonation at 34psi, and even with 50k miles on this motor the head didn't lift..... AMAZING. I ended up making 56whp more, over the previous turbo on pump gas.
