New to the community.
New here. Been wanting a Yaris Liftback since I first saw them in 06'. Finally got this little guy. Nothing special. 07' with 65k miles. All I've done so far is add a tach and waiting for power locks to be delivered for install. Not sure yet what else I'll do to it.

you got one of the better looking ones. I have an '08 and am not a fan of the newer generations.
I am going to assume stick shift. I would hit up a short shifter (or two) and maybe the sway bar in the rear. other than that, it would be personal preference. here is a good place to get started www.microimageonline.com I have spent so much money with them. the owner is a member here and they are also a supporting vendor meaning they support the site (win, win). also, welcome to the site. |

Hey Beef, I like my new generation Yaris. Don't make me have to pout. *Laughs* Beautiful car you've got there Axiom! Part of the "Black is awesome" club with me huh? I should get a tach for mine too someday. So, What are you going to call him?

I just like the smoothe lines with no harsh creases and stubby nose. (big reason I didn't go with the honda fit)
Tach is easy, 3 wires (ground, power, signal) |

They are the ones sold on the SE model. Do you think it's possible for them to have one made to match the black?

My boys dubbed it "Zippy the Black Pearl". BEEF, I too was looking at the Honda Fit, but after test driving both, my wife and I fell in love with the Yaris (even thought the Fit had "power everything" as opposed to "power nothing" like Zippy here). |

September, if you really want a tach that is built into the dash, talk to CTscott as he has several different ways of doing it and he can convert the canadian ones which gives you more options. they are pretty expensive though and would probably take out the warranty. If you don't have a manual, you don't really have to worry about it. I thought you had an auto trans.
axiom, I also looked at the mazda2 though the nose is a bit long for my taste. |

Thanks. ^_^
I looked at the Mazda 2 myself. It just felt very sluggish for some weird reason. I'd also considered the Honda Fit. After almost breaking my leg on the horribly placed cupholder on the dash... I changed my mind. I even looked at the Ford Fiesta.. I thought that car felt very cheap. Then after my experience with Kia, Both Kia and Hyundai were out of the picture. I'm really liking that I'm seeing more Yaris on the road lately. Perhaps people are actually going out to test drive them instead of going based off the internet reviews of paid critics. Zippy huh? I like it!
