Fuel Injector Bench Cleaning and Testing
I was getting ready to ship a set of fuel injectors, purchased from a wrecked Yaris off eBay, and wanted to test and clean them before shipping. I built a simple test fixture to allow me to open the injector and flow injector cleanser through it, while watching the spray pattern.
The test fixture consists of: A power supply (capable of supplying 12-14 VDC @ .5A or greater) A handheld switch, inline with the power feed (to fire the injector) A Yaris engine harness injector connector A syringe, with the plunger removed, where the body will fit snugly over the O-ring at the top of the injector. A clear container with a hole drilled in the top, which the injector bottom fits snugly in, and a second pin hole to allow the pressure from the cleanser to be released A Can of injector cleanser Safety equipment - Safety glasses and a fire extinguisher At the bottom is a picture of the setup and below is a link to a video of it in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_mkTuLwIdI Injector Clean and Test.jpg

Wizard. I just picked up a set of used 1ZZ (255cc) injectors and was going to send them off to be flow tested. Perhaps I can score a connector and do the same.

I have many of the connectors on hand, if you'd like to snarf one.
