Belt problem
Hi,
I took my 2002 1.3L Yaris to service at the end of May. They had to change the front suspension as it didn't pass the annual MOT test. But other than that, all was good. Now is just a few weeks after and on Saturday I started to hear some strange noises from the engine. I open the bonnet and I found the problem shown in the video: http://youtu.be/Lo4fANhc1GI Now... I don't have any ideea how bad this is. Can I drive my car to my mechanic (10-15 min drive)? The problem seemed to be worst at idle than when running (at least noise wise). And... what's the issue? Could it be something they've done at servicing? They didn't change the belt at 60,000 miles, last year. All looked good back then. Now it has 65,000 miles. Thank you, Radu |

On your 2SZFE engine that would be the water pump pulley that is jiggling, which means that your water pump is very close to failing completely.
