2007 Yaris 3 dr hatch ATF transmission capacities
I have read several threads on the drain / fill and drop the pan / flush the trans fluid on an automatic. I decided on the drop the pan, change the filter and then flush the system through the transmission coolant hose by filling through the dipstick and allowing the fluid to empty via the disconnected hose until the fluid runs thru looking like a new red color. I am having difficulty finding the total capacity of the transmission including converter etc. I see the drain/fill takes 2.5 - 2.7 quarts. Does anyone know how many quarts I might need for a flush/fill technique ? or any better suggestions on my approach ?
Thanks. My Yaris has 117k, never changed the tranny fluid also never had a problem with transmission or engine, figured a fluid change and filter replacement on the transmission is a good idea. Thanks again |
