maintenance
well, aside form the regular maintenance like oil and air filter you might want to remove the spark plugs and check the gap, put anti-seize on the threads and put back in. Also check the control arm bolts that are a common problem of rusting . There is a diy thread around here just do a search. I took mine out a month ago and they were still in good condition and hardly any rust on the bolts.

You shouldn't gap the iridium plugs.

Perfect...
Well I have K&N air filter, I will clean my filter and put it again, so iridium plugs are better than OEM plugs??. Thanks again dudes... Best regards... |

Just give it a good bath and make sure the oil changes are regular.

Of course, I have another question about the motor oil:
20w50 Valvoline Semi-Sintec 15w40 Shell Helix Semi-Sintec Or Castrol 20w50 Magnatec Semi-Sintec Which of this three oil are better? Remember is for my 1.5 vvt-i Yaris Sedan with 50K miles (80k kms). Thanks dudes... Happy thanksgiving to all ToyoFans!! |

oil

Depends where you live I believe. If where you live is mostly cold and stays below freezing for weeks on end ......ie Canada than synthetic oils will be best to use. If you live in a place where it's mostly warm and it only freezes once or twice a year but it's mostly above freezing temperatures year round than regular dino oil will be fine. I use Valvoline 5w30 regular dino oil |
