blitz supercharger problem
Hey guys, I recently bought a used blitz supercharger kit. I have it all wired up and ready to go, and I can't get the clutch on the compressor to engage. I even tried bypassing the switch and hooking a 12 volt connection directly to it and it doesn't engage.
Help? XD |

Can the clutch go bad? Do I need to replace it?

Measure the resistance between the two clutch wires. If it reads as open, then the solenoid within the clutch is bad.

Alright. So if it is bad, what are my options in terms of fixing it?

I've heard Blitz USA's customer support is pretty bad. Maybe look into just switching it for a fixed pulley?

That might be an option. I've been looking for one just in case. Although I would like to stay around safe boost levels because I'm only on stock internals.
Do you know where I can get one? |

Check with Micro Image as well. Garm seems to have somewhat of a spare Blitz parts supply.

Alright, I'll check with Garm too.
So if I get a fixed pulley can I just bolt it onto the supercharger? |

At that point you will no longer use the Blitz fuel controller though. You will need to go with another form of fuel management. You could also modify the existing clutched pulley to make it fixed.

When I tried to start the car after the installation of the supercharger, I had the FIC hooked up and it wouldn't start, not sure what the map is on there since it's a used unit. Do you think the Aem piggyback would work? How could I mod the current clutch pulley to be fixed? |

For converting the bad clutch to fixed, the simplest way to do so would be to weld the two sides together.

I did see someone with an underdrive pulley mention producing more than the 6psi that mine tops out at.

so it appears that the solenoid my clutch is bad. Do you have a diagram of what the clutch looks like so I may attempt to weld it?
It's currently still on car, so I'm trying to avoid taking the supercharger off the car again due to it being kind of a hassle to do so. |
