Twin Charging - anyone have the stones?
Found this article and shed some light on how it works at least to me so I thought I would share:
Twin Charging Depending on how things go and if I could figure out space issues I could possibly consider this in a few years.....maybe......pipe dream? lol

Yes. It's on the to-do list with the 2ZR-FE upgrade. I've got the blower, might as well get the snail.

you could get away with a relatively small snail too like the Zage or the one that I had previously.

That's kind of where I was headed with that idea. I think the Zage would be a good starting point for proof of concept, if only because it's bolt-on and relatively inexpensive.

according to the article you can run both chargers 10/10 and get the effect of 30! that is nuts. it would require a well built engine regardless of whether it would be a 1nz or 2zr. Also you would probably want to try to get lower than even the 9:1 ratio in the engine for it to stay together with any longevity.

You also need twice the intercooling--sending hot, compressed air into a compressor isn't what you want to do. Plan on having one after each, possibly air-water to conserve space. I've looked into that as well, and it seems pretty straight forward.

the IC can be pretty small for the SC. You could even stack them.

My zage snail and most of the kit will be up for sale in the next few months as I am upgrading.
