amp wire size

Hey people. Wondering what gauge to power my amp. Only doing a 4 channel amp (no sub) to power my door and rear component speakers in back. Going with the focal 4 channel amp with focal 6.5's 2-ways in front with crossovers and harmon 5.25's 2-ways in back. Going with focal amp wiring kit. Which one would suit my set up better? 8 gauge or 4 gauge? How much juice can car take or put out without frying something like alternator?

8AWG pure copper or 6AWG CCA (Copper Clad Aluminum)

Just make sure your grounding point is sanded free of paint

Copper is a better conductor but costs more. CCA is cheaper and lighter but both at those sizes I recommended will conduct approximately the same amount of current. You will not notice a difference with either selection.
