Correcting the Yaris Gap: Cargo area in seat-down hatchback
I have no social life, so I always drive around my 2008 Yaris hatchback with the rear seats down.
How do I correct the gap between the depressed rear seats and the main trunk so that objects don't get caught down there? Is there a recommended accessory? |

There is a flap, that is part of the plastic piece that covers the spare tire, that you flip to cover the gap.

Well I feel stupid. The part seems to be missing. How can I replace?
What I really want, though, is a single-piece all-weather tray/floor for the entire rear area. Do they make that? Most of what I see on Google is only for the area aft of the rear seat, not for use with the seats folded down. |

I know WeatherTech makes some cool cargo area liners, but as you said, I don't think they make one that goes all the way up and over the rear seats when folded down. |

You may do best to find a "dog cargo cover" for a SUV. Secure it to the back of the front seats. My car is getting pretty close to having the rear interior stripped and turned into a mini-mini-van. I was enjoying having a new car for a while.
If you have the 60/40 rear seat, the panel that covers the spare tire has a top part that flips over to cover the gap. The faux carpet part pops up and folds over. |

I saw a custom box for sale that involved removal of the back seats and made it a cargo back. it was neat. i'll see if I can find it...
