Crude Oil Up 10%!
OPEC has reached a deal to cut oil production.
Can higher gas prices be far behind?

It's both supply and demand. So they want to limit supply to get the price to go up.
In Ontario we're expecting a jump of 5c per litre tomorrow, which would equate to around 20c a gallon. That sudden rise is caused by speculators in the petroleum markets. However, this petroleum price rise is expected to cause North American production from shale and oil sands to be ramped up, which will bring the price back down again.
