New to us 2010
Hey folks. The wife and I both used to own a sedan and a LB Yaris a few years ago. Been out of them for some time now. But with one daughter now 16 it was time to look for a 3rd vehicle.
Found a 1 owner 2010 white LB. Auto, cruise, windows, locks. 126k on the clock. It had new tires and front brakes already on it. Runs great. Paid $4300. Wrenched on it some getting it ready for the 2nd chapter of it's life. - Changed the oil...M1 High Mileage 5w-30 synthetic and M1 filter - New NGK plugs - New coolant - New rear brakes - New serpentine belt - New engine and cabin filters - A few new bulbs here and there - One of 3 drain and fills on the tranny done with the 3rd being a pan drop and new filter Shocks and struts will be up next soon

Oh...I forgot to add...the infamous lower control arm bolts looked good. Water dripped out of the hole on the passenger side when the bolt was removed but no corrosion on the bolt to speak of. I cleaned them up and lathered them completely in antiseize to keep them free of moisture.
Very happy that wasn't an issue. I was very nervous about breaking them loose. I'll make checking them a part of my regular maintenance

Thanks. I hadn't log on in more than 5 years. Somehow I actually remember my SN and password. And miraculously it still worked

I had a red LB sitting on TRD springs with xB rims. My wife had a blue sedan. I tried to post some pix...but they were too big. Don't feel like messing with resizing them

She's got a few door dings on the passenger side. But that's perfect for a young driver anyway.
Did a pan drop and filter change on the transmission the other day and completed a second drain and fill this morning. Fresh Valvoline MaxLife added in each time. In a few days I will do a 3rd DAF. That should net me almost completely new fluid. Not sure if this transmission has ever been serviced. I'm going to say no. The fluid had a bit of pink to it still. At the most it might of had a DAF. But the pan has never been off. Was very pleased when I did drop the pan. It had very little contamination in it and the magnets were pretty clean. The serpentine belt? Easy on paper. Not so much when you have big wide hands though.

Simple procedure and not expensive either. Paid $20 for the filter and pan gasket. MaxLife is an excellent WS substitute as it has the same viscosity as WS but contains conditioners to help older, high mileage transmissions. It can be had for about $5 a quart. Finished up the 3rd drain and fill the other day. No problems to report
