Cooling problems of a 1SZ-FE
Hi Everonye,
I was going to drive my '99 1L Yaris to Hungary from England, but i am stuck at family in Netherlands because of insufficient cooling. I got 3 trouble codes twice, P0125, P0130 and P0133. I also found that the radiator fan doesn't start. Ever. When connecting it to 12V it does work, but the control sensor doesn't seem to do anything. I drove it in the hot weather to test it, no trouble codes but engine was really hot. Top radiator hose and radiator was really hot, lower hose was less hot and i was able to keep my hand on it. When idled from cold start for 10 mins, top hose was proper hot again, squeezing it it felt firm. Lower hose was cold. When i squeeze lower hose with radiator cap off it does move the water. When engine is warm and cap is off, other than vibration i don't see the water move. All cables checked and they are fine, also all fuses are okay. I never had a red coolant temperature light. Tonight i will test drive it again to determine if thermostat is buggered or no. Please share any thoughts! It would mean a great deal. I really don't feel safe to continue my journey. |
