Lovely Evening at Green's Point

My son and I went for a little drive this evening. I grabbed a few shots of the car as it seemed like a good location.

Really beautiful pics, 06YarisRS. Lovely. Thanks for sharing.

What's that partial cover on your hood, by the way?

Great pics. That spot would make for great HDR pics! I'd go back around that same time, and redo the first pic. Change the angle of the car and camera so that the power line/pole is no longer in the frame, and if possible, keep the light house to the side of the car. Then take enough pics to generate an awesome, realistic HDR render! The second pic would work really well in HDR as well provided you can go back on a day with similar conditions (clouds, sunset, etc).

Thanks, bentjazz! That is a bug guard/hood deflector. I think I picked it up on eBay. Normally, I don't like them, but it is fairly low profile. I prefer paint protection film.

Thanks! Those are excellent suggestions. I may well do that. I'll do a little reading on HDR. Is it a software or does my cell phone need the hardware built in?

There are programs for HDR rendering. Some are free, and then there's Photoshop/Lightroom. Real HDR pictures are comprised of several different exposures. Cell phones do have "HDR" modes, but the outcome isn't as great.

I could live in that moment and be happy, 06YarisRS. What beautiful scenery. That's a blessing to have been able to share it with your son.

Thanks for the info on the hood deflector.

Yes, we are fortunate to live in such a beautiful area. I have a few pcis of my son scaling some of the rocks. Daddy is far more permissive than mom. It was very enjoyable. We do like to go out on evening drives and check out the lovely scenery.

I love the scenic view. I miss going out for a non-essential drive.
