Thanks man. I got mine in today and if it wasn't for you I wouldn't know where to connect the tach wire.

I want to install a tachometer in to 2000 vitz, can any one advice on one to buy.

Thanks, Yaris friends. I am looking at aftermarket tachs - the '07, MT Hatch is so quiet that I occasionally kill it, or over-rev at a light, and I've driven stick for decades... I just didn't know where to get that RPM signal from. Now I do. Thanks!

Thanks all! I drive an '07 stickshift hatch back Yaris. Problems: 1.The engine idles so quietly and smoothly that I cannot hear it, especially with the radio on. 2. Toyota electronically idles the car at around 450 RPM to save gas...
These problems cause me to occasionally over-rev when starting out in first gear, or kill the engine! I've driven stick for 50 years, have several stick shift vehicles, but when you have no tach, a silent engine and a very low factory set idle, an aftermarket tach is a requirment!! |
