Yaris II (2005): What part is this (Rear of the car, left hand side)?
Dear Forum,
I drive a 2005 Yaris II French model in Germany. I installed a new ABS sensor and saw this "box" at the rear of the car on the left side. The bottom rod has nearly rusted away. Any idea what it is? Thanks James |

The part number on the cover shows as a fuse box, though I don't know why there would be one at that location. I can't find it listed for any North American models.

I'm pretty sure that PP-20 is Polypropylene with 20% talcum and GF10 is 10% glass fibre reinforcement.
Took another look. The pipes are def. going to the gas tank. Hm...Maybe a vent? But why would that have a pipe going to the "box" and back? Hm.... |

Although it doesn't quite look like what I'm familiar with, I'm guessing charcoal evap canister.
