Rear Beam axle...fitment
does any one know if corolla rear beam axles part number 42101-02340 will fit a yaris part number 42101 52160 of around about the same years? ive basically driven the wheels off her the driver side is broken and rubbing the shock...dont want to drop the 1300 for a new one as i only paid 350 bucks for the whole car and that was 200,000 miles ago lol, would like a junk yard swap, only problem is there arnt many if any yarises in the junk yards near me but they all have at least one corolla... yaris is a 2007. thanks in advance :)

According to this it only fits the Corolla:
https://parts.toyota.com/p/Toyota__/...210102340.html Even if it does fit our Yaris, the bolt pattern to mount the wheel hubs to the frame are different. I know because I tried to put a rear disc brake caliper plate mount to my Yaris, and it wouldn’t work with out having to fill the holes and re-drilling. I believe the Scion xD rear axle frame might fit, but you might come across with the same issue mounting the rear wheel hubs. Maybe look for a Scion xA or 1st Gen xB??! |

the xd and prius c are the same part number as the yaris
thanks, when i googled "07 yaris rear beam axle" it popped up a bunch of used corolla parts and when i googled corolla rear beam axle it pops up used yaris ones... is why i was curious, that an they look the exact same in pictures, and on the schematic. theyres not any xds in the junk yards either near me sadly. not many compacts in the rural south lol...

I can confirm that the Scion xD rear end will work. I replaced the rotted out rear end on our '10 with a beam from an '09 xD.
