Phinlion 3600 bulb
Has anyone tried this bulb? My wife was complaining that the backup lights didn't seem that great, so I'm thinking about trying this in the 2007 hatchback.
It is a tad longer than a 7506/P21W so I have to try to see if it will fit. -- So, it appears there s/b ample room for the bulb. I'm going to buy a pair and find out. Will report back.... Last edited by robkay; 12-19-2022 at 04:06 PM. |

ive yet to find an "off the shelf" led out performs a high watt incandecent when it comes to "depth of field" as well as "view angle"
youll find they "look" brighter when looking at them but that they likely light up crap |

I fully agree with this. I tried LEDs in my reversing lights, and very quickly went back to normal globes. The LEDs don't put their light where you need it.

"if" i wanted tho throw money away and try an LED bulb...these are what i would try as the company has a serious reputation to uphold...and yet i still wouldnt hold my breath..they seem to make a newer better version every year..which tells me that even they can figure it out
https://www.morimotohid.com/morimoto...lbs?quantity=1 there was one..i cant find at the moment..that actualy required aditional power and came with a heat warning....but i cant find it at the moment..somewhere on their site..i spotted it a month ago at 100$ EACH best thing i can tell you is add on a small fog light under the back of the car if you or your wife need more light....reverse lights on "most" cars suck |

I'm running a set of Ebay LEDs from like 2014 in my reverse lights, they are still kicking all these years and are quite bright.

Sorry to take so long to get back on this product. I installed the bulbs a few weeks ago, but didn't have a need to drive at night until a couple days ago.
So, definitely not saying this just because I bought them (free Amazon returns so I could have sent them back), but I am very happy with these bulbs! There is a main, back firing SMD in the tip of the fixture, then three (3) SMD's that project to the sides. I don't know about later model Yaris's, but in my '07 Hatch, the side projecting SMD's insert far enough into the enclosure to be able to take advantage of the reflectors and they really light up to the sides well. The enclosure is well ventilated and there is plenty of clearance to the front, so I'm not concerned about heat--although, I wouldn't put the car in reverse and sit there with the brakes on for a long time and test fate, right? Now my evaluation is based on dry pavement, right? When it's wet and the pavement is black you still have the same issue as with any other bulbs. No idea as regards longetivity as the bulbs have only in the car a few weeks. I would recommend these bulbs as reverse bulbs and would be interested in other's thoughts if they decide to try them. They we're $19.99/pr on Amazon. |
