KKT Compact 32 Piggyback ECU for 500$
TESTED WORKING AS OF 12/31/2022 USING 2001 TOYOTA ECHO ECU
Will be installed in a 2001 Toyota Echo A/T TLDR: Got a piggyback ecu from Malaysia for 490$ this is just a write up on how to install and first start. Hello Hopefully this is some good news about inexpensive tuning for everyone. I have got my hands on a piggy back ECU named KKT Compact 32 which I paid for after all shipping and transfer fees was 490$. These are pretty well known ECUs in Malaysia. That's the only bad part is there is no info on them in the states. Everything that came with the ECU was:
I will add a write up on how to get ur hands on one of these once I know it works on these cars. Seems a little sketchy but PM me if you need proof. In the next couple of days I will hopefully have a first start just waiting on ECU Connecter to make a Plug&Play Harness I will provide a list of stuff needed to get one of these working Pics of The ECU and Harness that came with: Last edited by Cletus Garfunkle; 12-31-2022 at 05:22 PM. |

Cool, I have been looking at standalone ecu's. Does this allow for vvti control?

No VVTI Control sadly just fuel and ignition.
They have there own standalone which can. I believe it would be 100$ more. It is called the KKT Fist V2 so after all fees shipping and so on would come around to 550$ estimated. Ill add his email once I get confirmation I can. |

Little update I made a quick Plug & Play harness and IT WORKED!
I definitely need some time in the software because first start was rich. It ran for about 6 seconds then died from being too rich. I will make an update to the post once it isn't 10pm and I can see what I am doing. Ill make a simple wiring diagram to which wires need cut/spliced into and how to make a Plug & Play harness for it :). Ill cya soon |

It looks like it can change the limiter I've watched some videos online and it seems it works.
Sorry for taking along time to update it is -3 degrees Fahrenheit in the northeast where I am located and its hard to find a time to work on the car when so cold. Thank you to everyone who is patiently waiting on this. Next 40 degree day I will update more. Last edited by Cletus Garfunkle; 12-24-2022 at 03:57 PM. Reason: Adding info |

Cool to see someone outside Malaysia use these.
But the price after shipping and taxes isn't that competitive if you ask me there are better options out there especially if the standalone would only be 100 more. But definitely keep us posted!

Quick update the problem was my bad I crossed a ground an a injector which made it stick open. The car runs pretty much perfect with all the stock settings from factory. No check engine lights no codes being thrown and MAF sensor is working perfectly with this piggyback. I will upload a video by the end of the day. :)

Hello everyone AN UPDATE I have a video from 2 months ago from when I installed it first it is very easy for live tuning the fuel and ignition with some cool features like 2step/launch control.
I will be doing more updates soon once I get time. Sorry its taken 2 months for the videos/proof I've been busy with work and doing some research on building a engine with some beefy rods and pistons for under 500$ Hopefully. I am currently in the process of building the engine I have it torn down and getting measurements for the machine shop. In next couple of week should have a pretty neat engine build thread popping up soon. Video of the piggyback and tuning software running the car!
