harness to laptop hook up
sir..
i am in need of a wire harness plug in to plug into my laptop.. does any one know of such a thing. what i want to do is to get into the ecu and bump up the idle.. and also to see what is in there... thank you |

Not happening. These ECUs are nearly impossible to "hack".

You asking about an OBII adapter to display the information on the buss?
They do make such devices. I will also second, you are not going to get into the ECU. Very easily or probably not at all. |

i gotta ask the question tho...has anyone gotten into the scion X-a/b/d or maybe the 06 rolla ecu?....if so then in theory getting into the yaris ecu would be similar if not exactly the same as we know the engine swap for the yaris is to either re-pin and use the rolla ecu or just use the xd ecu.....the xa/xb ecu's i suspect as the same(or close enough) to be the same as the gen1 echo unit and pre 04 rolla

From what I have gleaned over the years, the simple fact that if it is a Toyota product, the ECU is virtually impossible to crack. There have been claims of it being done but no real proof of it.
