Well, since we just got over the election and both sides feel that their candidate of choice was best for the job....wouldn't it make sense that as happy as Obama supporters are, McCain supporters can be equally as disappointed?

Obama isn't my president until January. I've always said, we'll just have to see what happens. That's neither supporting nor condescending. But just because he won, doesn't mean I have to flip a switch and cheer.

bobby you're not really making anyone "see the light" by being an ass. Just a suggestion.

Oh stop, everyone. Bobby's opinion obviously means more than anyone else's and how can you argue with perfection? If we all drop it he would have to talk to himself and I KNOW he wouldn't want that because I can't stand listening to him anymore.

eh i cannot vote for a person that just stands with hands at his side during the national anthem, i like how people play off that bush was a mistake, we voted for him 2wice, how are we to say we did the right thing by voting for a catch phrase? change. what is this so called change? i agree that bush made some bad choices but we cant blame everything on the guy, how about our house and senate? what have they done for us? i am from chicago and i didnt vote for the democrats, i still dont know what obama has accomplished in the senate to give him credit for this change he promises. i will just sit back and hope i still have a job next year and pray that these politicians are more walk than talk. and if shit hits the fan we have nobody else to blame but ourselves since we put these people in office. we can only hope for the better and pray things dont get any worse than it is. the economy is down and the world is watching us. we'll see what happens next. /endrant

Bobby reminds me of the guys in The Life of Brian who refuse to stop following Brian around and refuse to believe he isn't the Messiah.

Don't you guys see these politicians are nothing but puppets?
Just a club of ultra rich who need power to feed their ego's?
We'd be better voting in someone with no experience, and vote them out again before they can be corupted by the elite.
The same machine that fed bush is now going to run obama's white house.

Write down all those promises you heard last week,it's the last you will hear of them.
Name me one politician who ever kept their promises?

They absolutely do. I think for many Republikkkan's a leader who is bright, articulate, well-educated, & a critical-thinker is seen as 'elitist', whatever that really means. They see intelligence as a negative, deserving of scorn & derision. They mock brilliant leaders, and treat them with disdain.

Republikkkan's are happiest when their leader is intellectually limited, and speaks like an inarticulate cowboy. They love his 'it's our (the United States) way or the highway' attitude, and feel that this stance has been extremely productive in our global relationships.

So, yeah, they like 'em stupid.

bush and his neocon posse took your country in such a radical direction, so yes, things will inevitably be different.

i dont' disagree that our countries' governments serve the corporate interests first,
but obama as leader will not be concocting a web of lies to start wars to line the coffers of the bechtels, the carlyle groups and the halliburtons.

will he live up to every promise?...highly doubtful,
but no doubt his government will take things in a very different direction.

Palin was particularly perfect for the Republikkkan's...she knew nothing.

Here's Palin's answer to which Supreme Court decision--other than Roe v. Wade--she disagreed with:

But she was cute, you betcha! <giggle>
