I actually ordered from Garm at Micro Image. I ordered the NST SSK under hood "short shifter kit". It took me a total of 3-4 minutes to install only because it was a little harder to get in place that I first thought. If I did it again it would only take me 1-2 minutes.
Its a great mod and I really dont see the need to get any of the other stuff, but thats just me.
FYI, give yourself a week or two to get used to the new shifter feel. Its strange at first, but its really nice now.
I ordered the 13mm rear hub spacers at the same time as my SSK. Both arrived in the same box about a week after ordering(from MicroImage).

I thought I'd share my experience, and let you judge for yourself. If you install the piece over the shift arm under the hood alone, you will definitely notice the shifting will be slightly harder, and takes more effort to get the shifts into the gears.
If you order the Toyota part, you get a bracket, in addition to the cable/lever piece, that moves the cables upward, which helps prevent the binding caused by the movement of the cable attachment about an inch higher than stock.
I believe it is WELL worth the extra $20-25 for the bracket. It's a really neat machined aluminum piece, but is a bit of a pain to install... just sayin'!

ok so i tried it agien and the rubber piece is ripping but what looks even worse is it appers that the shaft on the shifter linkage has a shoulder for the washer to rest on. will the nst ssk fit over the small shoulder?

^ you have a 50/50 chance it will fit. toyota sources their linkage from two places starting in 2009.

IF it doesn't fit, you have to file a very small corner off of it and it will fit 100% after that. Here is the thread for the modification:

The NST front tow hook will never be reproduced to my knowledge.

If it's not, someone else is producing the same thing:

Micro Image Short Shift Kit

I installed one a while back and it works like a charm. (Link in my signature...)
