Just curious.
as long as they don't hear the rattle inside the car he's fine.

SQ... this looks very similar to your system, the vehicle it's a little bigger though!

Update on the scoping of the P-01...

Off the RCAs into the amps we run 6.3 Volts of unbalanced signal maxed out at 1kHz. There's something interesting I'm seeing though. The higher I go up the lower the voltage. All my EQs are flat, T/A is off...everything is flatlined.

Now onto the gains...

It appears that at 4 Volts at the RCA the L4 is seeing 127 Watts on both sides at "max". I want to set the levels at 4 Volts because of the possibility of EQ boost at top end that I might want. What I'm seeing is that the deck likes to taper the voltage off slightly on both ends (bass and tweeter ranges). At full tilt boogie (volume 62) at the 6.3 volts the ends drop around .5 to 1 Volt on either end. When I lower the volume to 60 it is a little over 4 Volts on a 1 kHz tone. I figure this is safe to set the gains to...

The L1 Pro SEs are seeing 114 Watts at 4 Volts with an 8 kHz tone at my "max"...

The ML3800 is seeing 823 watts at 4 Volts with a 40 Hz tone at my "max"...

I was really hoping for a deck that would be even with it's Voltage output. What I'm hearing from the shop owner is that this isn't uncommon though. He said he sees this in a lot of high Voltage decks.

Exclamation

I found this, and thought it was interesting but don't know how much of attention it's getting from professionals.

Threads like these are the very reason why i got into installs in the first place.

I can't wait till you finish, it's going to be killer. You'll definitely pull in trophies, especially with that kind of attention to the smallest of details.

Wish you lived in the Seattle area, *tear* it's just so beautiful. Really wish i had you around when i was starting my install. Definitely something you're going to be proud of for the rest of your life.
