and on thursday... my horns are getting repaired.
Something wrong with them alst sunday... they don't work when using them through the steering wheel... but they do work without it or some sort. Ah well.. hopefully they can figure out what it is and maybe re-attach everything with new wires.. ALSO bought a leather TRD shift gaiter with red stitches... looks nice! interior is clean again finally, especially without the stickerbombing... When the midpipe is on and the horns are finally fixed I wille make some new pictures and a video of the sound :D

So yeah... sucks to be me... the mechenical guy said that when we probably attached the steering wheel to the steering mechanism... we broke something inside it. They have to replace it
Guess what... 450 euro's to repair the mechanism... :'( :'(

What did you break? The clockspring? If so, just get an aftermarket one on ebay. I paid $~30 when I needed one and changed it out myself in about 30 minutes.

Well there's not much in there to break. Just the steering stem (spline) that the wheel slides onto, and the clockspring, which is a like a plastic bearing with wires inside that allow your airbag and horn to work while turning the steering wheel.
Unless you messed up the ignition wiring or something like that? Don't see how you could have though.. ?? |

Well good luck. That's a lot of coin to drop, it'd be worth it to me to figure it out and fix it myself.

i know man i told himi wanted to do that, but he said that the part that i would need to fix it (some electrical wires) can't be bought privately or something... I dunno.
I just want it to be fixed the right way so i dont have any issues ever again :) if i do that myself... i dont have that security u know! ALSO! Going to make a video about the new straight midpipe with the nitto axle back exhaust... :D its awesome!

IDK if there are rules in your country limiting consumers from buying certain car parts, but that sounds like a crock of bull to me and I would definitely get the opinion of another mechanic before handing your money over to this person...
