The 205/55/15 will have a more cushy sidewall, better ride, etc. The 205/50/15 is closer to stock height, and will handle better. Depends on what you're looking for. |

Maybe I'm reading this chart wrong, but wouldn't the 205/55/15 be closer to stock tire height than the 205/50/15? (23.9" high vs 23.1" high) Thanks again! |

Depends on which OEM size you go off of, I have always went off of the 175/65/14 tires that come on the base model - which is 23" tall.
At least on my speedometer (with my GPS and an iPhone app that tells speed) - this has always been more accurate than the larger 185/60/15 upgraded tire size that comes on the 15" package. |

Oh I see that now. I was going off the 185/60/15's which is what I have now.
One last one.. will the 215/50/15's rub with the ET37 offset? Last edited by CueBall; 05-23-2012 at 04:27 PM. |

Hi guys =) first time to post ( I live in Sweden so my English may not bet perfect)
I will get my new yaris soon (1,33 Style 5d) and for the summer i thought i would buy some new rims most likely 17" (does 17" fit even if I lower the car with springs?) And what“s the best tire option for 17" rims? Offset? Grateful for help //tommih |

17 will fit just watch width and offset. With springs you might get minor rubbing on turns but should be fine.

Just in case it hasn't been brought up before, the factory 15x5.5" steel wheels weigh in at 14.8lbs :)
My 15x7" WORK Emotion CR Kai's weigh in at 15.6lbs, so I'll be switching to Team Dynamics 15x7" which I hear weigh in at just over 13lbs... |
