Sure you want to trim versus mini horn lenses?

I'm picking my other car up tomorrow. We dialed it down to 409whp. Suspension comes next.

Yes, I really want to have them cross at 600-800 Hz
The lower the better...

If I trim that section then I can slide them deep under the dash!

Using horns helps control the dispersion pattern of the speaker's sound wave preventing reflections; look at image A.

Image A:

A conventional speaker will have a wide dispersion pattern (Image B.) and by experience I can tell how bad reflections are inside a car. These "First Reflections" are a killer! when tuning!

Image B:

To me I can see how to take advantage of the Horns + the underside of the dash, if you look at the image below these almost become a bigger horn! taking the sound from a far distance and throw it towards your ears, preventing reflections inside the car.

@Derick - The nice thing is you have active processing. That will be especially helpful. What was your midrange crossover set at frequency wise?

I do have all the processing I need !!!

Mids:

HPF 250Hz - LPF 6.3kHz slopes 24

Some thing like that...

With the horns probably the x-over would be like:

HPF 800Hz - LPF all the way up to 20kHz

The Midbass will pick up from:

HPF 80Hz - LPF 600Hz (My Guess)

I wanna watch this build..... Horns have a distinctly different sound and I am wondering how it will work out in a car. Many feel they sound to "horny" if you will, kinda bright. I am a horn fan and have 2 sets of Klipsch reference loudspeakers, so I'm not hating. Just curious how it works out.

^The nice thing for Derick is his EQ and level control. That will help tame the peaks the super efficient horns might give...

I'm impressed how simple and effective MB designs are, the way they deaden and the treatments to the different surfaces is very clever!

Any way... here is the rear left wheel well exposed bringing the cable under the car through the body ground effects worked really good.

Then I found a grommet on the top of the wheel well that gave me access to the Trunk!
