"Solution" to what?

( Are you saying you have a problem? )

I would have to listen to your system, before I could even begin to suggest anything. And not just "listen", but "study" it.

I would also need to know what your concerns are.

You have way more experience at this stuff than I do, so I doubt I could offer any helpful advice.

HAVING SAID THAT.... I always smile when people throw more power at their systems as a solution to some issue.
( Especially considering you are an "SQ" guy, and not an "SPL" guy. )

I EXPECT it from the SPL crowd.

And to YOU... Derick:

You are way better at taking photos than you are at FINISHING YOUR SYSTEM!

But seriously, it's looking good so far.

I know...

I'm an architect and a photographer, I can draw it or take a picture but I'll have some else to do it!
in this case, it's a passion and hobby and I'm doing the best I can to prove that if I can do it! every body can!

A.M. made my day again!

I watched that episode!

The M3 did a better MPG than the Prius! The M3 followed the Prius that was cranking and going full throttle on the track.

And you'll have that EXTRA power! when ever you need it!

I like it.

Derick: put your a-pillars on, mount your tweets and your mid-bass drivers in your doors, put your front-stage amp under the passenger seat, buy a prefab ported box for your IDQ's and stick `em in the trunk, remove the rear deck oem speakers and use the holes for sound ports, mount your sub amp to the sub box, Fire it all up... adjust your levels, x-over points, and your EQ... and you are DONE!

ONE full days work.

So... by this saturday, you can tell us how awesome it sounds. Pics are cool too!

GET BUSY!

See you back here on saturday!

Left a-pillar is ready for wiring
Right a-pillar need couple of hours to be ready for wiring

Mid-bass drivers will go in kick panels, I dislike everything about putting them in the doors.

Front-stage amp... will never make it under the seats, it's almost 2 feet long!

I've been looking for a subwoofer-box, but I can't find one that pleases me, I'll have to make one that meets the right specs.

Remove the rear deck speakers... I did this month ago! and toss them away!

I wouldn't put the amp on the sub-box, I'm afraid of the vibrations and second effects over time to the amp. Both amps will go on the floor behind front seats, will build a sub-floor to hide and protect them.

Just to be silly... I don't have an EQ well the HU comes with a 31 band EQ feature, Time Alignment, %$#$ 'bla-bla-bla' I love the P-99 HU

I can't think how boring would be if I'm done by Saturday, but Thanks AM to keep us motivated I really need that push! after all having a 4 month baby, a 4 year old son and a lovely wife very busy taking care of the kids I need to get my a$$ up and do something to feed them and keep them happy, doing a little bit here and there with small jobs, but lacking of a real job for now. I hope everything gets better and that the New Year is full of blessings for every body!

Let Palmer or I help if you need anything!

OK... GAIN MATCH!!!

SQcomp, Palmer and others... teach me / guide me...

I found this online, but it's only for the Subs LINK

I appreciate any tips and tricks

Thanks

I would love to justify a LRx ($850 at Woofers ETC) maybe an used one?

I can tell how good high end stuff makes a difference in your sound system.

I was thinking "Image Dynamics 4 channel" or another "PB amp"

I like the SRx but it's only 60x2 watts, any thoughts?

Sounds scary, like going to the Doctor

any literature about it?

thanks

I kid because that is where my Hertz ML28 tweeters are. Well my liftback doesn't have sail panels instead it has little windows where the sedan's sail panels are. Mine are mounted to the door panel in angled cups exactly where your sail panels are. Mine work extremely well off axis.

What does PLD means?

oh derick
PLD = path length difference , didnt know if you where serious or joking around ;)
So if PLDs are off more, what are the consequences? can you work them up with Time alignment? the distance from my tweeters to the MIds (center to center is like 6 inches... or less I'll have to check on that.

I found this LINK that talks about PLD

Thanks

Derick.
