I disagree with WeeYari, I have run 45/50 on 15s 40/45/55 on 16s without issue. The shorter the sidewall the lower you will be to the ground and give the harsher the ride. Thicker side walls are usually more cushy.
Its going to come down to your wheel preference. Find the wheel you want and then find a tire to match. Think of what you want out of your new tire/wheel setup like weight, performance, looks, stance, handling, etc thats a good way to start |

He's only dropping 1" so with a 195/50/15 or 205/40/16 it would almost be pointless if an objective is to reduce wheel gap.
This was me when I had 195/50/16s dropped 1.5". Wheel offset is +42 with 10mm spacers in the rear. Essentially +42 in the front, +32 in the rear.

He's saying 205/50/15 (or 195/55/15) on the 15", and 195/50/16 (or 205/45/16) on the 16". |

That is why I got coilovers and tires with a massive sidewall. I get sensational handling and tires with a gigantic sidewall to protect my wheels. Couple that with the stock seats and while I hear every bump I don't feel anything.

Hello everyone,
I have a question/concern..... I put my OEM Vitz RS rims [16x6, ET51] with 205/50/16 on my wife 07 ncp92r 4 door sedan. The tire now rubs on the front shock and chassis with the steering at full lock. I installed a 5mm spacer and it still does the same. I observed that the sedan has a much, much smaller turning radius than my 07 Vitz RS. This combination was never a problem on my car. I am now using her 15x7 ET42 205/50/15 which gave no problems on either car. Is it normal for the 16x6 ET51 with 205/50/16 to have fitment issues on the sedans???? What can be done to rectify the fitment issues without future problems???? Buying new wheel/tire combos for either car is not an option but if we have to switch back we will both be disappointed. Any assistance will be appreciated. Thank you. |

1. Is this updated for 2015? My Yaris has 175/65HR15s.
2. Is it safe/a good idea to put on 185s or 195s for snow tires? It is sometimes difficult to find a 175s. |

I will post pics when I get em on, I just ordered through Ford ,Michelin Premier A/S 205/50/16 V rated, to replace bone stock T rated cooper slide in rain tires....
Also, Konig Feather Black, 13.8 pound rims, woo hoo....Getting the tires for 142 and change each with a 70 dollar rebate and got the feathers for 426 on discount tire direct....they have some smoking deals, as I was having trouble between the DR 41 and the DR 16 and DR 31, or the feathers. Had my eye on the feathers for some time now. sold the wife's camry rims, which help offset, the cost, sold them for 370, so it's like 50 some bucks for my rims I tell her....nice, cannot wait....

Need Help Please...
I know there's some very inclusive details on the first page with all the numbers, but I'm not too familiar with this stuff.. so, was wondering if I can get some help. I have a 2010 Yaris 5 Dr Hatch LE. No mods. Looking to put winter's on and I see Costco has a sale for Michelin - X-Ice® Xi3. Tire Size: 175/65R14/XL 86T Including taxes (Cdn) and installation per tire it's $137.28. Good choice? Good price? Correct size? Thank you for all your help! |

pics
Here are the pics from just after install.
To report, the tires do rub a bit (11 am position LF -- 1 pm position RF) up front when driving severely (40-50 mph around a sharp turn)... A friend was saying I could have a body shop roll the fenders.... I was wantin to get high performance or heavier sprung springs. Currently, I think coil overs are the only option, as I definitely not lowering it. (an example, on old Caprice, I could put regular front or rear, or the ones I went with, cargo coils in rear - no HP available, and in front HP springs) Then, coil over shocks... I was hopin someone made HP coils for us...anyone know of any, PM me pls. Someone earlier asked about Michelin X-Ice (awesome and should fit no issues on a 14 inch rim)

Lol! If I ever get enough money together for a set of dedicated auto x tires I want to get my moneys worth. 15x7 rims and 225 tires are the fattest tires that are legal for stf class which is what I would plan on running. Go big or go home!
